Annecy Bound

Today we spent the whole day in Annecy.  This is a small city of 20,000 inhabitants located on the shores of a beautiful lake filled with translucent, aquamarine coloured water. The whole city is crazy about riding bikes.  It looks like they took  an old railway line and converted it into a bike path. We rented bikes and could have rode them all the way from Annecy back to Albertville (45 Km way).
We decided to turn around at the halfway point, so that we would have some time to enjoy in the city itself.  Annecy has two main canals in the centre of the old city which were both very picturesque.

Here is train tunnel that the bike path went through!

We had a quick stop in a park along the lake.

The canals were filled with many boats.  I loved these ones the best.

We asked a passer-by to take our picture in front of Lake Annecy.

Annecy is the last place that we are going to visit that we had seen on our first honeymoon.  The trip from now on will be not about remembering our first honeymoon but making memories about our second honeymoon.
